- Press Windows key + R to open the run command.
- Type gpedit.msc in the run dialogue and press enter.
- Now the local group policy editor will be opened, Now open the tree of Computer Configuration and further navigate to Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Defender.
- Now on the right side look for a setting named Turn off Windows Defender Antivirus and open it.
- Now change the value from disabled to enabled to disable windows defender.
- This will completely disable windows defender and the antimalware service won’t start again.
