How to make android phone faster

It’s very frustrating when you spend hundreds of dollars on a smartphone only to find out that the smooth and speedy performance, which you expected from it became elusive after some time.  With time, as our Android devices start filling up with the data and apps, they tend to slow down.

If you have been experiencing problems with the smooth functioning of your Android device, and want to speed it up, here are a few things which you do.

Clean up your home screen

If you have been using a live wallpaper, then consider replacing it with a static image, as it might be responsible for slowing your Android device. Also, if your home screen has become very cluttered, remove some of the app shortcuts to get better performance.

Update your phone with the latest version of the software

The latest software is released to facilitate some bug fixes and improvements, which can help to run the phone or tablet better. So, always ensure that your Android device is running on the latest software.

Also, ensure that all the apps which are using are also updated to their latest version.

Disable and Uninstall the Unused Apps

Sometimes, we keep on filling up our Android device’s memory with the unused apps. If there are any such apps installed on your device, disable them and remove them so that the space occupied by them can be freed up.

Try A Third Party Launcher

Some of the customizations made by OEMs to their devices can be quite heavy, and thus, they may affect the performance by slowing it down. If you want to change the way you navigate around in your Android device, and tweak some of its settings and use a third party launcher.

Clear The Cached App Data

The cached data for apps helps them to load faster, but, gradually it can build up and start taking a lot of space. Also, over the time, some cached data stored by your Android device may no longer be useful. So, periodically clean your cached data to free up the memory occupied by it.

To do it, simply go to “Settings”, then “Apps” and then slide over “AllTab”. Now tap on the relevant app and then choose to “Clear Cache”. This way, you would be able to clear the cache for a particular app.

If you want to clear the cache for the all the apps in one go, simply go to “Settings”, then “Storage” and then tap on “Cached Data”, and then click “OK”.

Wipe Off the Cache Partition

Apart from the  app data cache, there is a cache partition as well in your Android device which stores the temporary files. You can clean it once in a while to restore the seed and performance of your device.

To do this, you have to boot the device in the recovery mode, and once you reach the recovery mode, you can use the volume keys on the side of the device to navigate through the menu, and the power key to select an option. Choose the option “Wipe Cache Partition”.

Restore the Factory Settings

While this may be a drastic step, but, if you believe that your device has become too slow, then you can restore it to the factory settings to ensure that it runs in a tip top condition. It’s also a shortcut to cleaning up the different parts of the device one by one, as it helps you get rid of all the junk which you have accumulated at once.
