6 major changes made by Yogi Adityanath in UP in his first week as CM

Yogi Adityanath, the recently appointed CM of the largest state of India, Uttar Pradesh is making some very bold decisions quite early in his tenure. It’s just been a few days that he took the oath as CM, and he has already started changing the UP for better.

Some of the biggest decisions taken by Yogi Adityanath in his first week as the CM stunned everyone who assumed that it’s very difficult to bring in any change in UP.

Ban on Tobacco and Pan in the Government Buildings

Following his first official visit to the secretariat annexe building in the capital city of UP, Lucknow, where the CM office is located, Yogi Adityanath seemed very unhappy to see the stains of pan and tobacco on the walls. So, he has directed the officials to prohibit the use of tobacco and pan in the schools, colleges, hospitals and all the government offices in the state.

Declaration of the Assets

CM Yogi Adityanath has asked his ministers and the officials in the state to declare their assets within the next 15 days.

Relieving of Non-Government Advisors

When the Samajwadi Party was in power, it appointed around 80 non-government advisors, members, chairmen and deputy chairmen in the departments, committees and corporations. These officials were enjoying the benefits and status of ministers. Yogi Adityanath has relieved all such personnel.

Closure of Illegal Slaughter Houses

Keeping up with the BJP’s manifesto highlighting the closure of all the illegal slaughter houses, Yogi Adityanath has asked the police officials to work on shutting down all such slaughter houses across UP.

Introduction of the Romeo Squad

As per the orders of the Yogi Adityanath, the anti-Romeo squads have been placed in the 11 districts under the Lucknow zone. These officials will keep an eye on the eve teasers and molestors, and will pay special attention outside the women’s educational institutions where such happenings are quite common. These officials are also directed to ensure the safety of all the college-going girls.

These squads will be monitored directly by the IG of Lucknow.

Stay on the UPPSC Results

After the complaints about several irregularities in the UPPSC (Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission) results, a stay has been ordered. The state has ordered the related authorities to put a halt on all the ongoing examinations and interviews.

With these initial changes, Yogi Adityanath is all set to change the face of Uttar Pradesh.
